While on the bubble, two all ins happen simultaneously at two separate tables. Table 4 is the classic KK running into AA. Both players flop a set, but Lindell King (Alliance, OH) and his aces are good, as he adds 145k to his stack.
At Table 7, the all-in is for 87k (hand info unavailable) and the bust out officially makes the player in the back of the room the bubble boy. That's good news for Brooklyn, NY based poker author Peter Alson (Take Me to the River), who's pocket kings is now in the money (based on last hand chip counts). Alson is the first to cash, collecting $729.
The remaining 53 players are bagging and tagging as play is done for the night. "The money is nice," says King, who finishes with 618k, "but I'm here to win."
Play resumes noon Tuesday as players vie for the first place prize of $69,226.
