It's fitting that this Deep Stack tournament started with tables along side cash games across the Poker Room. Because somewhere along the way a $1-$2 game broke out in the tournament and Bob DePasquale (Randolph, NJ) reaps the benefits.
At an 8 handed table, everyone limps to DePasquale in SB who completes, followed by a BB check and family pot.
Flop: A♠ 7♥ 5♥
DePasquale leads out for 10k, UTG calls, MP makes it 21k. DePasquale shoves all in for 130k and has both remaining players covered, both call.
DePasquale: 7♠ 7♦ (middle set)
UTG: A♥ 9♥ (pair of aces, nut flush draw)
MP: 5♠ 5♣ (bottom set)
The board runs clean for DePasquale and his set of 7s hold for a 325k pot. "Very unusual," says Depasquale, referring to an 8 way limped pot on the last hand of Level 10 (600/1,200/200 ante).
"Of course I'm worried that someone could draw out on me, but I've got the best hand at the time and you take your chances," he says. DePasquale is the unofficial chip leader at the dinner break with 344k.

Ummm... How does a set of 5's beat a set of 7's if "the board runs clean"???
