A $500 by-in Survivor tournament started at 4pm this afternoon and while event 11 is on dinner break, I picked up some info on one of the players in that event.
Allen Hopkins is a professional pocket billiards (pool) player. He has numerous state, national, and world titles since going pro at the age of 17 and now provides commentary for televised tournaments.
Today, Allen is trying his hand at the Survivor tournament where all you have to do is outlast 90% of the field. He has a couple of small cashes in his poker career here at Borgata, so he obviously has some talents that extend to a different kind of felt-covered table.
