End of the Line

Silver Lining, All Should Get In

As the field of more than 1,100 players continues to grow, the line at the registration window shrinks. "It's going to be a long two days," says Bryant Carlino (Milford, CT), who's last in line one hour after Day 1B play begins, "here at least I can stretch my legs."

Just ahead of him is Julien Studley (New York, NY) who shrugs his shoulders and is confident he'll get in the field. "We'll see," he says, as a tournament official walks by taking a head count.

"Look at it this way," adds Carlino, "I'm not going to lose all my chips standing in line."

Level 2 (50/100) is underway.
