Event 1: That Didn't Take Long
Semir Sulejmani of Wayne, NJ, got all-in pre-flop and called by Peter Chiarulli of Brooklyn, NY. Semir's pocket Jacks were in bad shape against Peter's pocket Kings. Then a third King hit the flop, leaving Semir dead to running Jacks. No such miracle occurred and Semir was dispatched to the rail. Peter chipped up to about 225k.
Vinny Pahuja (Hicksville, NY) doubled up to about 160k on the first hand today.
Over on table 2, there was a 3-way pre-flop all-in. Eric Cleaveland (Morrisville, PA) was all-in with pocket fives, John Corsi (Northville, MI) was all-in with pocket Kings, and Charles Bruder (Mechanicsville, MD) held the boss pair, pocket Aces, and had the other two covered. The board ran dry and the Aces held, sending two more players to the rail.
The cries of "All In" seem to be quickly followed by "Seat Open". No idea how many have busted already, but they're dropping like flies.
