Event 4: Two Players Gone

Neehar Banerji

Level 1 has come to a close and players are taking a break.

Unbelievably, two players busted out shortly before the end of the first level.

The first was Woo Shin, who opened for 300. Neehar Banerji (on his immediate left) of New York City, raised to 925 and Woo called. The flop was Q 8 6 rainbow and Woo checked. Neehar bet 1,00 and got check-raised to 3,500, which he called. Turn was the J, putting two spades on board. Woo led out for 5k and Neehar called. River was the 9 and Woo shoved for ~15k. Neehar called showing pocket 8s for the set. Woo flashed an Ace and mucked his hand, heading for the rail.

Neehar has been on fire this first level and is already up to about 80k and the unofficial chip leader.

The second player to bust was Ashton Griffin. He held pocket 8s and flopped an open-ender against Uri Kadosh, who held pocket 6s and had flopped a set. They got all the chips in the middle and Uri turned his full house to take the pot. He's up to about 66k now.
