Event 1: Joseph Capalbi - 5th Place - $33,854

Joseph Capalbi - 5th Place - $33,854

The fan favorite is out in fifth place for $33,854.

From a poker blogging standpoint Joseph Capalbi was mucho entertaining, fun to follow, and an overall great player.

"These guys were so serious today. I tried to lighten things up" said Joseph.

Willing to defend his big blind against Weiwen's Liang's 1.4 million raise, once it was folded around, with only four million left, Joseph shoved.

Liang tanks and as soon as he says "call", Joseph says, "you got me".

It's Weiwen's A-K vs Joseph's 6-9 of diamonds.

Flop of 2-A-10 practically seals Capalbi's coffin.

He turns a 6 for some hope but the river 3 ends Joseph's party.

His friends and fans all congratulated as Joseph loudly joked, "Okay, whose got my 34 grand?"

Joseph told me the suited 6-9 was the best hand he's seen in an hour and a half.

I asked for any parting words and he immediately quipped back while laughing: "When's the next deepstack?".
