Martha Patella (Massapequa Park, NY) doesn't have an ace up her sleeve, but let's her fingers do the talking. Every tournament Patella writes "Play Smart," one letter on 9 of her 10 digits, as a reminder to "not do anything stupid," she says.

Patella has done it the last few times she's been at Borgata Open Events. She cashed 15th in this same event during the 2009 Summer Open.
