Second Chances

Last year Nicole Rowe (New Windsor, NY) was in the middle of a well documented controversy in the September, 2009 Borgata Poker Open. Since her Ladies Event second place finish, she's battled breast cancer and is now back at the felt.

Rowe's run in Sunday's Spring Poker Open Ladies Event is short lived, as she's crippled twice by the player who hits quads twice during the opening levels. But Rowe's upbeat spirit and positive outlook keeps her focused and she's right back at it for the Seniors Event, which she entered one hour late.

"I've gotten a second chance in life and today I'm getting a second chance on poker," she says while sporting a new look bright pink hairdo. "And I'm using both to my advantage."
